Filtering Flasks

Filtering Flasks

Use filtering flasks, also known as vacuum flasks, Buchner flasks, suction flasks, Kitasato flasks or side-arm flasks, for rapid filtration of liquids in numerous general laboratory procedures. The typical flask design has a conical shape with a flat bottom, tapered neck, and a sidearm for use in vacuum filtration. The thick walls of the flasks can withstand pressure under vacuum. Flasks, which can also be manufactured from polystyrene, are available in a variety of volumes and socket sizes, as well as graduated or ungraduated formats. Flasks may be used with accessories, such as a Buchner
