Liebig condensers are ideal for cooling and condensing hot vapor as part of a distilling process and feature a straight inner tube that carries the condensing vapor through an outer jacket filled with cold running water. For increased efficiency, cold water should be pumped into the bottom tube of the condenser jacket and out from the top tube.
