Phosphate Buffered Saline Tablets

Phosphate Buffered Saline Tablets (PBS) are composed of a balanced salt solution with multiple applications in cell culture, cell biology and buffer preparation. This buffer preparation can be used for reagent preparation, diluting cells for flow cytometry and cell culture reagents. One tablet dissolved in 100 mL water yields a buffer containing 0.01 M phosphate, 0.0027 M KCl and 0.137 M NaCl, with a pH of approximately 7.4 at 25°C.
