Strep-Tactin™XT Superflow™ is a 6% agarose coupled with the streptavidin variant Strep-Tactin™XT and applicable for purification of Strep-tag™II or Twin-Strep-tag™ fusion proteins.
As with any other Strep-Tactin™XT resins, the unspecific protein binding is extremely low, which results in an outstanding purity of the target protein.
In comparison to Strep-Tactin™ Superflow™, Strep-Tactin™XT Superflow™ has a higher affinity for Strep-tag™ fusion proteins, which leads to an improved immobilization and purification.
In addition, Strep-Tactin™XT Superflow™ allows the application of denaturing agents such as urea during the purification procedure.
The suspension is suitable for packing of gravity flow columns since the resin is optimized for column affinity chromatography, rather than for batch purification.
To pack a column with 1 ml resin bed volume, 2 ml 50% suspension are necessary.
